I was recently contacted by a reporter, Barbara Ellen, who works for one of the local Riverhead papers and who was putting together an article on a proposed $3.1 million dollar bike path. The bike path will go along Grumman Blvd. to downtown Riverhead and the North Fork. I don't know if it is too late by now, but she was looking for photos of cyclists riding along either Edwards, Route 51, Sound Avenue or the North Fork. The bike path sounds interesting, but I wonder whether the design will be made in consultation with actual cyclists.
